In life, we may come across moments when modern medicine doesn’t provide the answers we seek, and we find ourselves facing a multitude of challenging diseases, just to name a few of them, cancers, Alzheimer’s, diabetes. There are times when unbearable pains seem to strike us relentlessly, leaving us bewildered. We could end up struggling with the enigmas of our own bodies, unable to fully comprehend what’s happening. In these confusing and desperate moments, questions arise within us. Are we destined to endure suffering? Why am I the one who has to carry this pain? Will there ever be a day when I can overcome my illness?
The answer we seek, lies within the precious pages of the Bible. Within its sacred words, we find the remarkable story of Jesus Christ Himself, who endured unimaginable hardship upon the cross for our very redemption. In His divine wisdom, He understands our pain intimately, for He cared so deeply for us that He willingly made the ultimate sacrifice. Through His selfless act, we have been granted the opportunity to one day be freed from the shackles of sin, death, and the burdensome weight of suffering.
“But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds.” (Jeremiah 30:17)
Consider the wondrous miracles recounted throughout Scripture. In the Gospel of Mark, we witness the awe-inspiring moment when God lifted the leg of a paralyzed man (Mark 2:1-12). In the Gospel of John, we are amazed as He opens the eyes of the blind (John 9:1-7). And let us not forget the remarkable account in the Second Book of Kings, where God cleansed the skin of a leper (2 Kings 5:1-14). The resurrection of Lazarus (John 11:38-44) exemplifies His authority over even death itself. So, please hold fast to the belief that healing and restoration are possible. Remember, no matter how tough the road may seem, we can always find strength in our faith. There is a higher power that guides us through these trying times.
“I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?” (John 11:25-26).
There is a profound truth that extends far beyond the pursuit of physical wellness in this earthly realm. It is the significance of spiritual health. Jesus assures that those who believe in Him will live beyond death, experiencing eternal life through His resurrection. Those guided by faith will never face the sting of death, finding true life in His heavenly kingdom.
My friend, “Do you believe this?” (John 11:25-26) Are you willing to believe this word of Him and find peace and comfort through God’s promise?
