Discovering God’s Love and Purpose in our Life’s Journey
Have you ever felt that life is like a long, winding journey, a ride filled with laughter, tears, choices, and moments of quiet reflection? I have been there too. And it’s on this very journey that I want to invite you to our upcoming church evangelical event—a time to pause, reflect, and experience the transformative love of God together.
You see, life isn’t always a smooth ride. There are times when we feel overwhelmed by challenges and weighed down by the burdens of daily living. But during our struggles, the Bible offers us hope and guidance. In Psalm 90:12, we read, “Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” This verse reminds us that every moment is precious and that by seeking wisdom and God’s guidance, we can find meaning even in the most difficult times.
Remember when we were kids, dreaming of freedom and the thrill of making our own choices? As we grow older, the weight of decisions can sometimes feel like a heavy burden. Yet, even when life’s choices seem daunting, Jesus offers us comfort. He said in Matthew 11:28, “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” What a beautiful invitation to lay down our worries and find rest in His loving arms!
I have learned that true fulfillment isn’t found in chasing empty goals or accumulating temporary pleasures. It’s found in the simple, daily blessings that remind us of God’s presence—a warm smile from a friend, a quiet moment in nature, or the peace that comes from prayer. And it is in those moments that our hearts are gently stirred toward a deeper relationship with God. When we gather at our evangelical event, we’ll share these experiences and learn how embracing God’s word can fill our lives with lasting joy and purpose.
There’s also a powerful call to live with integrity and gratitude. Ecclesiastes 12:13 tells us, “The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.” This verse is not just a statement—it’s an invitation to live a life that honors God, cherishing every blessing and lesson along the way. When we commit to walking in His light, we begin to see our everyday struggles in a new perspective, as steppingstones on our journey of faith.
And finally, let’s remember that while we may never see God with our eyes, His love is made known to us through Jesus Christ. John 1:18 reminds us, “No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father’s side, he has made him known.” Let’s walk this journey together, sharing in God’s word, building each other up, and finding renewed purpose in His everlasting love.
