Continue the light of Christ in the workplace
In this rapidly changing era, the workplace is not only a place to make a living, but also a place to practice faith. And “succession” does not only refer to the continuation of skills and experience, but also a transmission of values. At work, we must not only strive to improve our abilities, but also manifest the glory of God from generation to generation, so that more people can know God through our behavior.
Pass on integrity and justice, and be light and salt in the workplace
The Bible teaches us: “He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you. But to do justly, To love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?” (Micah 6:8). In the workplace, we often encounter conflicts between morality and interests, such as short-term temptations of interests, dishonest competition methods, or silence in the presence of injustice. However, as Christians, we are entrusted to be the light and salt. Light illuminates darkness, and salt seasons the world so that it will not be corrupted. At work, our integrity can not only influence colleagues and subordinates, but also shape a healthier workplace environment, making integrity and justice a culture and passing it down from generation to generation.
Pass on dedication and loyalty, making work a testimony to glorify God
In Colossians, Paul encouraged us: “And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men” (Colossians 3:23). This verse reminds us that work is not only for personal gain or company development, but also for the glory of God.
Dedication and loyalty are virtues and also influence. When we are loyal to our duties in the workplace, pay less attention to short-term gains and losses, and truly bring value to the team, the company and the society, this attitude will influence others, so that they also learn to work hard and perform their duties faithfully. This succession of professionalism not only makes the workplace a better place, but also allows God’s will to be fulfilled in our positions.
Pass on wisdom and grace, relying on the Lord in challenges
Challenges in the workplace are inevitable, but true wisdom comes from God. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and he shall direct your paths.” We should not only rely on God at work, but also pass on this wisdom of trust to those who come after us. When the younger generation encounters difficulties at work, we can share our own experiences and tell them how to maintain their faith in difficult times and how to make decisions with a prayerful and God-fearing attitude. In this way, spiritual wisdom will not only stay in personal experience, but can influence more people so that they can also overcome difficulties in the workplace.
In the workplace, succession is not only the continuation of skills, but also the transmission of values. Integrity, loyalty, dedication and trust in God’s wisdom are all important virtues that we can pass on at work. May we become God’s faithful servants in the workplace, influence more people, and make the glory of Christ visible in every position and passed down from generation to generation.

Like many other things in this world, technology is a tool that we can use for a wide range of purposes. As Christians, we can use it to support our growth of the career, family and the church, but let us be vigilant and wise. While we don’t know what new advances technology will bring to us tomorrow, God’s standard and expectation remain the same forever.
Everyone will encounter suffering in life including our career, and Christians are no exception, but don’t be disappointed, and maintain your faith in Jesus in adversity. Because Jesus has overcome the greatest difficulty—death. As long as we trust in Jesus and are willing to hand over our difficulties to Him, He will help us overcome them.
