Overarching Message on Your Needs in Life (13)

Trust in the Lord: The Key to Meaningful Relationships and Growth

We all want to belong–to be appreciated, to trust and be trusted. As we reflect on the first quarter of 2025, have we truly embraced the power of trust and meaningful relationships? People don’t just want acceptance, they want to know they matter.

Trust isn’t Automatic

Trust is earned. Even leaders cut distractions that waste time and energy to focus on what truly matters. Have you done the same? Are you investing in relationships that refine and strengthen your faith, like gold tested in fire?

“…that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ.” (1 Peter 1:7)

True Leadership isn’t about Control.

It is about building collective trust. Instead of chasing certainty, learn to navigate the unknown with faith. A deep relationship with God is the key to facing life’s challenges.

Investing in What Truly Matters.

How often do we waste time on things that don’t nourish our souls?  Instead of distractions, let’s strive to be positive influences—serving God and others.  Don’t rely solely on what you know; true wisdom comes from recognizing what you don’t.  Knowledge alone doesn’t transform lives—faith in action does.

Consider Naomi and Ruth. Naomi lost everything, yet her story didn’t end in despair.  Through faith, trust, and selfless love, God’s provision came through Boaz, restoring their lives.

“Then the women said to Naomi, ‘Blessed be the Lord, who has not left you this day without a close relative; and may his name be famous in Israel! And may He be to you a restorer of life and a nourisher of your old age…'” (Ruth 4:14-15)

Trusting and being Trustworthy

Trust is a two-way street.  We trust God because He is faithful, but are we trustworthy in return?  Do we keep our word?  Do our actions align with our faith?

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green…” (Jeremiah 17:7-8)

Trusting in God builds resilience.  Leaders who trust Him inspire others to grow in faith, fostering encouragement instead of fear.

At the end of the day, it’s simple: trust God, live out your faith, and let your actions reflect His truth.  The world needs more people who trust in Him.
