Where Have We Placed God

The Bible says, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.” (Deuteronomy 6:5 NKJV) This verse reveals how we should approach God in our lives and how we can manifest His glory.

We are to glorify God with our mouths. We often confess and praise His name with our lips. However, mere verbal declarations are not enough. Jesus said in Matthew 3:8 (NKJV), “Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance.” We must reflect on every word we speak. James 3:5 (NKJV) says, “Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things. See how great a forest a little fire kindles!” We must be mindful of our speech and ensure that our words align with God’s truth.

We are to meditate on God’s Word. This means we should let His Word guide our thoughts and decisions. In Romans 12:2 (NKJV), the Apostle Paul writes, “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” We should use the teachings of God recorded in the NKJV version of the Bible as our standard. We should examine our thoughts and intentions to see if they align with God’s pleasure.

We are to replace our hearts with the heart of Christ. Matthew 11:29 (NKJV) says, “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” We need to understand how God loves us in order to know how to love others. Jesus told His disciples, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16 NKJV) When we truly place Christ in our hearts, we emit His light!

Our way of life should align with our faith,That’s how we can truly experience and grasp God’s truth in our lives – by experiencing God and His truth firsthand. We should worship God with our hearts and sincerity rather than merely speaking empty words.
