God’s church

Let us be very clear about the idea that the church is not founded by man. In the world, like-minded people can get together and start an organization. But this is not the biblical way the church is founded. According to the Bible, it was God who established His church. Just as God established His church in New Testament times, He is building His church in the same way today.

If we want to find the body of Christ today, we need to find the church that He personally established. It’s not a question of whether your church is better than mine. The body of Christ does not belong to you or me, but to Christ Himself.

How did the New Testament church begin? After the ascension of the Lord Jesus into heaven, He poured His Holy Spirit out on His followers, and they all began to speak (speak in tongues) in other languages, just as the Holy Spirit empowered them to speak. On that day, the apostles began preaching that sins would only be washed away by baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Those who were baptized received the promised Holy Spirit.

There is  one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling. (Ephesians 4:4) The Bible gives us a picture of the characteristics of Christ’s one body. The first characteristic is that there is only one body and only one spirit. The hallmark of Christ’s body is the presence of the Holy Spirit.  In whom you also are being built together for a  dwelling place of God in the Spirit.(Ephesians 2:22)  The body of Christ is God’s dwelling place through the Holy Spirit. Wherever God has established the church, the presence of God’s Spirit should be poured out through the Holy Spirit. And the outpouring of the Holy Spirit is essential for the planting and expansion of the church. Wherever the gospel goes, believers receive the Holy Spirit in the same way they were first poured out. This is the precedent we read from the Bible.

Therefore, the church established by God Himself must be poured out by the Holy Spirit.  And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.Acts 2 : 2-4. You may watch a video about our church:Where Is the One True Church Today?(1)
