Be Rooted in Christ (Part 1)

As we navigate increasingly chaotic end times, the Bible advises us to root our lives and faith deeply in Christ. Like a sturdy foundation for a building, our faith, grounded in Christ, allows us to not only weather life’s storms but also grow spiritually.

No matter our age, nationality, or circumstances, we encounter various challenges to our faith. These trials can be physical, spiritual, or both. We must ensure we are rooted in faith before these problems arise, as illustrated in Matthew 7:24-27

【Mat7:24】“Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock:

【Mat7:25】and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.

【Mat7:26】“But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand:

【Mat7:27】and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.”

Challenges fall into two main categories: external and internal. External challenges come from world influences, including heresies, temptations, and unrighteous behaviors. We are bombarded by deceptive ideologies and materialistic temptations, while witnessing a rise in lawlessness and diminishing love.

Internal conflicts, on the other hand, stem from our heart or mind, which can influence our actions and determine our acceptability to God. These include self-centeredness, a comparative mentality, and submissive behaviors. Without strong roots, we risk succumbing to these trials and falling from grace.

Establishing roots in God and His word is vital. There’s only one true God and Jesus is the only Savior, a belief that must be firmly held to establish roots in faith. The truth, unveiled by God through the church, makes the church an inseparable entity. Jesus Christ can only be found in the true church on earth. Also, God’s truth remains unchanged forever.

Rooting ourselves in God’s truth is crucial because it aligns with God’s will and plan and enables the Holy Spirit’s revelation. God intends to reveal Himself and His truth to humanity, desiring everyone’s salvation. His Holy Spirit illuminates us with understanding. God’s plan sets a divine timeline for revelations, with the church as the steward of these mysteries. By remaining humble and guided by the Holy Spirit, we can fully comprehend His truth.
