As we go through life, we encounter challenges due to increased demands and expectations from work and family. In the process of resolving them, we may compromise our overall life balance. Achieving overall life balance is a matter of addressing personal goals, priorities, and attitude towards life. Although God has given us wisdom to deal with all kinds of problems, we are often spiritually blind to see solutions. We lose time for self-care, mess up our interpersonal relationships, and forget to show gratitude for God’s grace. So, how can we revive and maintain our overall life balance?
Since God is the source of all creations, He has the power and ability to solve our problems. God understands our needs. Of course, we should do our best to set our overall life balance goals, manage our time, practice mindfulness, get enough sleep, and exercise regularly. We should also love our loved ones, find ways to reduce our stress, and seek professional help if we are struggling and desperate. But do we have the energy, motivation and joy while trying to achieve overall balance in life that nurtures our spirit too?
Nurturing our spirit is more than just having the ability to fix problems. Nurturing our spirit helps us reset our expectations in life–to be content no matter what and be able to rejoice under the most challenging circumstances. How and why? Because we are using God’s values vs. worldly values and standards.
We invite you to come to the True Jesus Church at Chicago for our Evangelical Service & Spiritual Convocation. Here, you can listen to the good news of “The Kingdom of Heaven has Come” and rejoice in your life with the Lord Jesus Christ. As we have faith in Jesus, we walk with Him every day, all the way. Let God’s word guide us and release us from our life stresses. Let God illuminate your journey in life. “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” (Psalm 119:105).

God Brought Me to the True Jesus Church
Victor first heard of the True Jesus Church while in the army, during Bible study with others in the barracks. The Holy Spirit was what convinced him to join the church. Since then, the weekday Bible studies and the fellowship make him feel that he is part of a family and have helped him to continue to grow in his journey as a Christian.
Finding Home
When James was just about to enter college, his mother was diagnosed with cancer. He shares the story of how he was able to walk through the darkest time in his life and how he came to find home once again.
