However, this doesn&#8217;t solve anything. As time passes, the problems pile up, eventually overwhelming me. To make myself feel &#8220;better,&#8221; I engage in more pointless activities, trapping myself in a vicious cycle. So, how do I break free from this harmful pattern?If I decide to face and solve these issues, I must first clearly recognize where the problems lie. Isaiah 30:20 states, &#8220;<strong><em><b><i>Though the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, yet your teachers will not be moved into a corner anymore, but your eyes shall see your teachers<\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong>.&#8221; Recognizing God and understanding His intentions, my attitude towards difficulties has changed. These &#8220;hardships&#8221; are not just obstacles but lessons from God to perfect and mature me. Once I understand the problem, the next step is change, but how can I overcome myself and make that change?<\/p>\n<p>Trying to change through my own strength is a painful process and likely to fail. As Romans 7:18 says, \u201c<strong><em><b><i>For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find.<\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong>\u201d Following our natural human desires is easy, but God knows our weaknesses and has given us the Holy Spirit. After we <strong><b>receive the Holy Spirit<\/b><\/strong>, as mentioned in Romans 8, &#8220;<strong><em><b><i>For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live<\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong>.&#8221; Only with God\u2019s strength can we truly change and confidently face ourselves and the world.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<strong><em><b><i>Whoever covers his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.\u201d <\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong>Because <strong><b>God is merciful,<\/b><\/strong>\u00a0&#8220;<strong><em><b><i>near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit<\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong>.&#8221; When we bravely confront our weaknesses and overcome them with God&#8217;s help, the colors of our life will become richer and more vibrant.<\/p>\n<p>I encourage you to join our church, to seek and experience the truth of God!
