We were talking about God\u2019s amazing creation, specifically about walking. Do you know how long it took for AI technology to create a robot that can freely walk on two feet\/legs? Apparently, it is a big challenge. I watched a social media video at a conference, where engineers are showcasing how well-made their robots are, by pushing the robot or doing anything to put the robot off-balance. And the better and more quickly the robots resume their balance on their two \u201cfeet\u201d, the better made they are. \u00a0As it turns out, a simple task for humans such as walking requires a complex brain calculation to constantly re-calibrate and manipulate so the body can maintain balance. If something is off in the brain, the nerves, or muscles, the simple task would be compromised.<\/p><p>This leads me to think about my family\u2019s recent \u201crecalibration\u201d of our relationship. My oldest son is a young adult\/teenager now, and yet not old enough to drive. He likes to hang out with his friends but needs to be chauffeured to places. As a parent, I have to find the balance between giving him rides whenever and wherever he wishes (by sacrificing my time and freedom), and confining him at home all the time for my convenience (by sacrificing his social connection). And then, it is not just about rides and time management, it is about how he is getting independent, and without recalibration, farther away from us. The balance between being close to him and still keeping a healthy distance is a challenge. God has wired teenagers to be independent, and yet, this means they are wired to stay away from us. We want to honor children\u2019s natural development while managing to maintain a deep, positive relationship. My son\u2019s growth has made me wonder, \u201cWhat is right for me to do? What is good for me to do? What is good for him, and what is good for us?\u201d<\/p><p>Well, thank God. God can be our calibration system, as long as we turn to Him, He will guide us to get back on our two feet. He will do complex micro-manipulation for us if we pray to Him and follow Him.<\/p><p><em><i>2 Timothy 3:16<\/i><\/em><\/p><p><em><i>\u201cAll Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for
