In quiet reflection, I find comfort in knowing that while God is eternal\u2014declaring in <em><i>Exodus 3:14, \u201cI am that I am\u201d<\/i><\/em>\u2014my days are as transient as morning dew, like grass that flourishes in the morning and withers by evening <em><i>(Psalm 90:5-7)<\/i><\/em>. Moses tells me that life is short, and every high and low is in God\u2019s hands.<\/p><p>Every day I am aware that my time on earth is limited. Moses\u2019 prayer in <em><i>Psalm 90:12, \u201cTeach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom,\u201d <\/i><\/em>speaks directly to me. It is more than acknowledging mortality; it is a call to live with purpose. Realizing my time is finite, I learn to cherish each moment and seek God\u2019s guidance. I am reminded of the prodigal son in <em><i>Luke 15:17<\/i><\/em>, who, after a long journey, recognized his father\u2019s mercy and returned home.<\/p><p>There have been times when I felt I was chasing empty goals\u2014running a race with no true direction. In those moments, I realized that without God\u2019s wisdom, my life could become a series of regrets. Moses warns me that ignoring God blinds me to my own sin, and soon my hidden faults are exposed under His judgment. It feels like being a bird trapped without knowing the danger until it\u2019s too late. Yet, that shock of clarity has redirected my path, urging me to seek change and pursue a more meaningful life.<\/p><p>The most profound truth I have embraced is the revelation of God\u2019s love through Jesus Christ. Though no one has seen God, Jesus made Him known to us <em><i>(John 1:18)<\/i><\/em>. Jesus not only reveals God\u2019s character but also grants us wisdom and opens the door to salvation. Through Him, I learned to leave behind a life of vain pursuits and to embrace a journey filled with joy and lasting fulfillment. His sacrifice and guidance have transformed my understanding of what life should be.<\/p><p>Later in Psalm 90, I sensed a shift\u2014from despair to hope, from God\u2019s wrath to His mercy. Moses\u2019 prayer echoed in my heart, much like Jesus\u2019 cry on the cross, <em><i>\u201cReturn, O LORD! How long? And have compassion on Your servants.<\/i><\/em>\u201d<em><i>\u00a0(Psalm 90:13)<\/i><\/em>\u00a0This cry reassured me that despite my imperfections and the short nature of life, God\u2019s love remains within reach. I embraced the call to believe in Jesus, repent of my sins, be baptized, and receive the Holy Spirit <em><i>(Acts 2:38; Ephesians 1:13, 14; Titus 3:5)<\/i><\/em>, which has led me to eternal grace.<\/p><p>Today, I chose to face reality with open eyes. Life may be short, but each moment is a precious chance to turn toward God, seek His wisdom, and walk a path of faith. I trust in His mercy and look forward to the promise of renewal, knowing that every day offers a new opportunity to grow closer to Him.
