Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.\u201d Joshua 1:9<\/em><\/p><p>God revealed this verse to me one night while I was reading the Bible.<\/p><p>I was in middle of the before-bed reading and it was a few days before an exam. I was stressed. There\u2019s no inner peace as I headed into my final preparations for the exam. But I found comfort in a chapter devoted to King David\u2019s encouragement and charge to Solomon to build God\u2019s temple.<\/p><p>The day-to-day problems we encounter may not last long or be hard to handle. But we often seek help when facing issues that seem overwhelming or impossible to overcome.<\/p><p>While I mused over this verse in greater contemplation, I was able to appreciate that even though our personal problems may cause sleepless nights or frayed nerves, God is with us. Facing any issue without fear or hesitation, this is the strength that His love gives us. And we know that whatever we encounter in our lives, God is there to reassure and strengthen us.<\/p><p>I was able to head into my day-long exam with peace and tranquility because of these words from God Himself, which is a source of comfort and encouragement for me. I was constantly reminded of God\u2019s love and support throughout the day. <em>\u201cFor the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died\u201d II Corinthians 5:14<\/em><\/p><p>I knew that whatever happened would be God\u2019s will, and that was all that mattered. No amount of anxiety would make any difference. With the abidance of God, all would be well.<\/p><p>In Solomon\u2019s prayer at the temple dedication, he praised God for keeping His promises. The temple was able to be built without much difficulty because of God\u2019s abidance. Although the anxiety came from the exam was a no match to the one given to Solomon, the same words of encouragement given to Solomon also sustained me. Because God\u2019s word is true, pure, and virtuous.<\/p><p>Sometimes we may forget how closely God watches over us and takes care of us, and we feel discouraged and alone. But such feelings only weaken us. As long as we believe in His promise to watch over us, we have no cause to fear or worry \u2013 whatever our trouble, Immanuel is there.<\/p><p>From physical to mental to emotional and spiritual wellness, God is our ultimate doctor in keeping us well. Come join us to experience His love, strength, and resilience in our Lord Jesus Christ.
