Thank you for igniting the light in shadows of doubts, that there still is a path in the mire. <\/i><i>Thank you for being steadfast in shepherding us to better versions of ourselves, even when we are being wayward bunch of cats bouncing off the walls and even resorting to the \u201cWheel of Fortune\u201d in divining what intelligence has failed.\u201d JK<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cI know that the sacrifices you\u2019ve made for us far exceeds what is seen. Thank you for showing us Christ through your selfless acts of love. We are so grateful to have you in our family.\u201d LL<\/i><\/p>\n<p>These were the quotes from people who recently went through an immersion of an innovation process with a Godly overture to transform themselves for the larger good. These quotes testify the power of selflessness, willingness to work together and sacrificial spirit.<\/p>\n<p>Some background. These people work for a social impact enterprise which, despite its noble cause in regenerating barren land, face the reality that the means to sustain such good work purely from government grants was not sustainable. They began to \u201cdoubt\u201d and wonder if such works are even goals they should pursue when they can\u2019t even sustain their own livelihood.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m sure we all have our version of heroic \u201cregenerating barren land\u201d quests. We all long to be part of something bigger than ourselves. We choose that because it brings meaning. Working together on a Godly hefty goal brings us together and to get things done, and we need to rely on one another. These people did exactly that\u2026and then the \u201cI\u201d became a \u201cWe\u201d, the dark became light, the worries turned to hope and confidence.<\/p>\n<p>Even more than deep fellowship, what we seek form others is the sense that they have our back\u2014just as we have theirs. What\u2019s more, for where two or three are gathered together in His name, He is there in the midst of them. It is up to us\u2014physically, virtually, spiritually\u2014to open our doors to God.<\/p>\n<p>In whatever we do, we should seek ways to increase engagement\u2014no matter where or how we live and work. Everyone of us must show up, be present\u2014with authenticity and vulnerability and surrendering to God. If we are not our real selves then we will never achieve the real relationship that lasts in our journey of life. In a world that is increasingly virtual, people may be reluctant to bring their real selves to work, play and live. Being virtual and not present can lead to leading siloed lives\u2014separating ourselves like fire and ice. God\u2019s will is for us to be together\u2026loving, caring and edifying each other and God. <b>Togetherness divides the task and multiplies the success.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>So, fellow friends and family members, we all have some form of leadership responsibility at home, work or community. We have an important role to play modelling what real people do. Leadership starts with selflessness\u2014it\u2019s not about you. Bring empathy\u2014meeting others where they are. Most importantly, show our true selves\u2014who we are, not just what we and do.<\/p>\n<p>When we ignite relationships like that, we feel connected, we fit in. And when we fit in, we belong. And when we belong, we can truly see and notice others\u2014both the colleagues with us, and those who are missing, not present.<\/p>\n<p>Please join us in a journey that leads to eternal life starting with Sabbath service in person.
