Ask God to check your heart and motives. Is any of this your fault? Did you handle something wrongly? Who is the real culprit here?

Depending on the situation, I would re-read my job acceptance letter, re-examine the situation, talk to my manager and plead my case if needed. There have been times with a terms and conditions of employment have been breached. If that’s the case, seek legal advice.

But sometimes a situation can be resolved and worked towards a fairer outcome. Sometimes, there is really nothing you can do except learn from the case and move on.

Having a solid foundation in God’s teachings helps you deal with workplace issues. In some cases, you need to be strong in resolving the issue. In other cases, you just need to accept that nothing can be done and it is now worth bickering over. If you do not lean on God, workplace issues can eat you up alive. You may continue to dwell on it and keep bickering at it so much that everyone around you get so sick hearing you complain. That is not edifying. Having God on your side helps you deal with it much better.

David was able to maintain a pure heart and great peace even in the midst of horrible injustice. Can you be like that? Can you find peace in adverse, confrontational situations? It begins with trusting in the One who cares for your soul.

Be like David who trusted God to watch over his life. “It is God who avenges me, and subdues the peoples under me” Psalm 18:47

David’s trust led to praise. His firm belief that God was far for him and not against him led to joy. Your life is not at the mercy of your manager or that partner, or co-worker. Your life is in God’s hands.

Your manager is not your ultimate resolver. God is. So put your trust and future of your life, not just your career, in God’s hands.
