His last sermon on “Blessed are the Peacemakers” resonated deeply within me. It carried a poignant reminder for our generation, especially in these trying times. Amidst the shadows of corruption and doubt, Christians are being beckoned to rise as peacemakers, standing steadfast against Satan’s intention to disrupt harmony in our families, churches, and indeed, the world.

Pastor Jung began by reciting Matthew 5:9, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.” With eloquence, he illuminated that sons of God are not merely children of God but Christ’s disciples. They represent those who have adopted the path of Christ. And what is the hallmark of such discipleship? Love. Drawing from John 13:35, he emphasized, “By this all people will know that you are my disciples if you have love for one another.” Love is the very essence of Jesus’ teachings. When love is missing in a church, as mentioned in Revelation 2:4, its authenticity is challenged, for, at its core, “God is love” (1John 4:8b). I reflect on how important it is to have love in any church.

The enemy, Satan, however, continuously aims to shatter this bond of love – between spouses, within families, and among church members. But as a peacemaker, I reflect on how I can become a warrior, engaged in spiritual warfare. I would strive to nurture my family and the church as Gardens of Eden, even when Satan plots their ruin. Yet, in every challenge, I know I must stand tall, seeking God’s divine protection and His boundless blessings.

The scriptures overflow with tales of great peacemakers. Joseph, with his unwavering faith, discerned God’s divine plan even amidst adversities (Genesis 50:15-21). And Jesus, the ultimate peacemaker, through His sacrifice, reconciled humanity with God (Romans 5:6-11). As followers of Christ, we must embrace Him as our beacon of peace (Ephesians 2:2-14) and strive to be the salt of the earth and the illuminating light in this world (Matthew 5:13-16). I reflect on that I shall like other disciples ensuring the factory of peace never ceases, spreading tranquility far and wide.

Pastor Jung’s concluding words from 2 Corinthians 5:17-19 served as a clarion call for transformation and reconciliation. For in Christ, we are reborn, shedding the old to embrace the divine newness. I reflect on that we shall embody love and Jesus’ teachings and aspire to be the peacemakers this world so deeply yearns for. Savor the beautiful words of wisdom on Blessed are the Peacemakers by listening to the whole sermon.

This ESSC has truly been a spiritually fulfilling experience for me. I hope you will engage in our church activities, become a peacemaker, and receive His blessings together. Looking forward to meeting you. Our church location is as follows:

True Jesus Church
4N550 Church Road
Bensenville, IL 60106
Google Maps

For online streaming, please click here.

For regular service hours, please click here.

Email us at ilovejesus@tjc-chicago.org

Post Fall ESSC Reflections (1)

Post Fall ESSC Reflections (2)

Post Fall ESSC Reflections (4)

Post Fall ESSC Reflections (5)

Post Fall ESSC Reflections (6)

Post Fall ESSC Reflections (7)

Post Fall ESSC Reflections (8)

More to come

In the heart of autumn, during the Fall Evangelical Services and Spiritual Convocation (ESSC), Pastor Jung stood before the congregation, delivering a soul-stirring message about the beautiful Beatitudes.
