Our faith must be deeply rooted in Christ, just as Jesus described in the Parable of the Sower.<\/p><p>Among the four types of soil He mentioned, two stand out: the seeds sown by the wayside and those sown on stony ground. The seeds that fell by the wayside represent those who neither experience God nor truly take in His Word. On the other hand, the seeds sown on stony ground refer to those who initially receive God&#8217;s Word with joy, but because they lack a deeper understanding and experience of Him\u2014having never truly connected with Him\u2014they fall away when faced with hardships and challenges.<\/p><p>This is why we must root ourselves in the fountain of God. The more we know Him, the more we will understand His power, and the stronger our faith will become. Reading the Bible and praying are the first steps to knowing God, but they are also the journey to understanding Him deeply. And on this journey, there is a key: &#8220;<em><i>And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever\u2014<\/i><\/em>&#8221; (John 14:16). \u00a0<\/p><p>This key is to live a godly life through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. When we encounter passages in Scripture that we do not understand, the Holy Spirit moves within us to bring revelation. When we pray \u201c<em><i>the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.<\/i><\/em>\u201d (Romans 8:26). When we face trials and suffering in life, God brings us comfort and direction through the Holy Spirit. And this precious gift of the Holy Spirit is freely given to those who ask: &#8220;<em><i>If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!<\/i><\/em>\u201d (Luke 11:13).<\/p><p>Once we receive the Holy Spirit, we will naturally be assured of God\u2019s presence. Through the Holy Spirit, we can know Him even more deeply. Only by relying on God we can overcome the trials of this world and the weaknesses of our own flesh. God is not merely a figure in stories, nor is He only the God spoken of by others or just the God of our parents.
