When faced with difficulties, most people often resort to escapism. For example, because you can&#8217;t stand the boss&#8217;s unreasonable demands, difficult to get along with colleagues, and low salary, you can&#8217;t help but complain about every job you do and often want to change jobs. In fact, in our lives, what really makes us feel painful is not the bad environment, but our mentality towards the environment. We think things will get better if we change jobs; but when we solve one problem, we encounter another.<\/p><p>The joys, sorrows, anger and happiness in life often come from a change of thoughts. For example, if we have friction with our boss at work, we should consider that perhaps God wants us to learn the lesson of obedience; if our income is not enough to cover the family expenses, we should consider that perhaps God wants us to learn the lesson of faith; if our spouse is not harmonious at home and we often quarrel, we should consider that perhaps God wants us to learn the lesson of spiritual cultivation; if we feel discouraged or even bored with our work, we should consider that perhaps God wants us to learn the lesson of patience; if we are laid off by the company and become unemployed, we should consider that perhaps God wants us to re-evaluate our life goals and to look to Him solely.<\/p><p>When the apostle Paul was preaching, he was imprisoned many times, beaten, and even almost killed, but Paul&#8217;s heart was still full of joy. He said, <em><i>&#8220;Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: I know how to be abased, and I know how to be abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need&#8221; (Philippians 4:11-12). <\/i><\/em>A change in mentality can help us overcome adversity at work. No matter what bad situation we encounter, we can still maintain contentment and joy in our hearts.<\/p><p>In short, adversity in life, including challenges and training at work, is nothing more than a lesson for us to learn about wisdom and patience. The Bible says,<em><i>\u00a0&#8220;But he who endures to the end shall be saved&#8221; (Matthew 24:13).<\/i><\/em>\u00a0<em><i>&#8220;Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves&#8221; (Matthew 10:16).<\/i><\/em>\u00a0Jesus tells us,<em><i>\u00a0&#8220;In the world you will have tribulation; But be of good cheer, I have overcome the world&#8221; (John 16:33).<\/i><\/em><\/p><p>Everyone will encounter suffering in life including our career, and Christians are no exception, but don\u2019t be disappointed, and maintain your faith in Jesus in adversity. Because Jesus has overcome the greatest difficulty\u2014death.
