In a world where distractions are everywhere, how do we make sure our children don\u2019t just know about God but truly walk with Him? The answer lies in living out our faith daily, just as <em>Deuteronomy 6:5\u20137<\/em> teaches us: <em>&#8220;You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Kids don\u2019t just listen to what we say, they watch what we do. If they see us prioritizing God\u2014seeking Him in prayer, reading His Word, and living with integrity\u2014they\u2019ll learn that faith isn\u2019t just a church day thing; it\u2019s a way of life. Timothy\u2019s faith didn\u2019t appear out of nowhere; it was nurtured by his grandmother Lois and his mother Eunice <em>(2 Timothy 1:5).<\/em> Their example paved the way for him to become a leader in the early church. Likewise, our children need to see us living out our faith in our daily actions, not just hearing us talk about it.<\/p>\n<p>A strong faith foundation isn\u2019t built overnight. It\u2019s shaped by consistent, intentional efforts. <em>Proverbs 22:6<\/em> tell us, <em>&#8220;Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.&#8221;<\/em> One way to do this is by creating a \u201cfamily altar\u201d\u2014a time dedicated to Bible reading, prayer, and worship. This doesn\u2019t have to be long or complicated. Maybe it\u2019s reading Psalm together before bed, praying over breakfast, or singing hymns on Sunday nights. Small, meaningful moments add up, and over time, they shape the hearts of our children.<\/p>\n<p>Life gets busy. Work, school, sports, and social activities compete for our attention. It\u2019s easy to push faith to the side and assume church alone will be enough to guide our kids spiritually. But the truth is, no one can replace a parent\u2019s role in a child\u2019s faith journey. <em>Psalm 127:3<\/em> reminds us, <em>&#8220;Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward.&#8221; <\/em>God has entrusted us with their spiritual well-being, and that means making His Word the foundation of our home, not just an occasional addition.<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s be real\u2014there will be times when it feels like nothing is working. Our kids may drift, question, or even push back against the faith we\u2019ve worked so hard to instill in them. But we don\u2019t give up. As Paul said in <em>1 Corinthians 3:6, &#8220;I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase.&#8221;<\/em> Our job is to plant the seeds and water them with love, prayer, and God\u2019s truth. The growth is in His hands.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of the day, family succession isn\u2019t about leaving behind wealth or achievements; it\u2019s about passing down a faith that endures.
